METAL FABRICATION

Mechanical machining

We carry out mechanical machining operations such as turning, milling, surface and cylindrical grinding, profile grinding, as well as machining on machining centers and cnc lathes.

Mecano-welded structures and metal fabrications

Welded metal fabrications made from various steels, including stainless steel and aluminum alloys. We have cnc machines for laser cutting, plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting. we can bend sheet metal profiles up to 15 mm thickness on cnc press brakes.

Products made of Sintered metal carbides

We manufacture ball valves for the oil and natural gas extraction industry, drawing dies for the metallurgical industry (wire, bars, pipes), and various wear parts made entirely of carbides or brazed onto a steel backing.

Sandblasting

Metal Somet S.A. is equipped with advanced sandblasting facilities to impeccably clean and prepare metal surfaces.

Surface coating

The protection of metal surfaces is carried out in specially designed facilities through priming and liquid painting or electrostatic coating (with powder paint), as well as by electrochemical processes such as galvanizing or phosphating.

Assembly

We have assembly halls for complex equipment and machinery, which are prepared and delivered ready for installation.

Dimensional Inspection

We perform dimensional inspection in our in-house laboratory using conventional measuring tools or a coordinate measuring machine. We can measure surface roughness, coating thickness, and the hardness of heat-treated materials.
